You would modify existing assembly test results when corrections or updates are needed after a test has been entered into the system. This may include fixing data entry errors, updating incorrect test readings, changing pass or fail statuses, correcting tester information, or adding missing details. Keeping test results accurate ensures reliable compliance records, proper reporting, and an accurate testing history for each assembly.
Make changes to the test results recorded on an assembly test.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Backflow Management > Assemblies > Modify Existing Assemblies Test Results.
2. Enter an assembly ID, location number or service address in the Assembly ID field. You can search this field by clicking Search (F9) in the toolbar. Press Enter.
3. Use the Action Date drop-down list to select the date the test results were entered. If you need to change the Action Date, click the Edit button, located at the end of the Action Date field.
4. Verify the Test Results that are being displayed are the test results that you wish to edit.
5. Update the necessary fields.
6. Click Save (CTRL+S).
The test results are updated.
If you are using Modify Existing Assembly Test Results to enter corrections and you find yourself in a situation where you need to enter a new test result, change the entry mode to New (CTRL+N) to enter the new test result. When you're done entering
the new test result, switch the entry mode to Edit (CTRL+E) continue making corrections to the existing test results.
Do you want to stop the user to enter initial test results?
Stop at the Initial tab. Pressing the Enter key will stop the user on the Initial tab to enter the initial test results. If there's nothing to enter, you can press Enter to move through the fields on the Initial tab or you can click on the Repair tab to enter repair information, or the Final tab to enter the final test results. Click Options (F12) to select the Stop at Initial Tab checkbox.
If there are initial test results to enter, the user clicks the Initial tab to enter the test results. Click Options (F12) to clear the Stop at Initial Tab checkbox.
If the testing result is passed initial or failed initial, and then this tab is skipped.

Stop at the Repair tab. Pressing the Enter key will stop the user on the Repair tab to enter the repair information. If there's nothing to enter, you can press Enter to move through the fields on the Repair tab or you can click on the Initial tab to enter initial test results, or the Final tab to enter the final test results. Click Options (F12) to select the Stop at Repair Tab checkbox.
If you need to enter repair information, the user clicks the Repair tab to enter the information. Click Options (F12) to clear the Stop at Repair Tab checkbox.

Stop at the Final tab. Pressing the Enter key will stop the user on the Final tab to enter the final test results. Click Options (F12) to select the Stop at Final Tab checkbox.
If there are final test results to enter, the user clicks the Final tab to enter the test results. Click Options (F12) to clear the Stop at Final Tab checkbox.
Use Options (F12) to set up the following options.
The Description field displays the default description from the test result properties.
I want to use the default description. Use Options (F12) to clear the option to Allow Description to be Modified.
I want to enter the description of the test result. Use Options (F12) to select the option to Allow Description to be Modified.
Use comments to add a note to the test results. No matter which option is selected, the user can click the Comments button to add a note.
Stop the cursor to enter a comment. Use Options (F12) to select the option to Stop at Comments.
Do not stop the cursor at comments. Use Options (F12) to clear the option to Stop at Comments.
Adjust the testing month to the month of the early test results. Usually, this option is selected. Use Options (F12) to select the option to Adjust Testing Month for Early Test.
Use the current month as the testing month. Use Options (F12) to clear the option to Adjust Month for Early Test.
If the test result is failed, replace the assembly. Click Options (F12). Then, use the Replace Assembly on Failed Test field to select Yes.
If the test result is failed, do not replace the assembly. Click Options (F12). Then, use the Replace Assembly on Failed Test field to select No.
If the test result is failed, ask me if I want to replace the assembly. Click Options (F12). Then, use the Replace Assembly on Failed Test field to select Prompt Each Time.
If the test result is failed, print a failed test notice. Click Options (F12). Then, use the Print Failed Test Notice field to select Yes. Select the report definition to print the failed test notice from the Replace Assembly on Failed Test field.
If the test result is failed, do not print a failed test notice. Click Options (F12). Then, use the Print Failed Test Notice field to select No. You can also use the Test Notice report to print failed test notices later.
If the test result is failed, ask me if I want to print a failed test notice. Click Options (F12). Then, use the Print Failed Test Notice field to select Prompt Each Time. Select the report definition to print the failed test notice from the Replace Assembly on Failed Test field.
Add options to the Test Results field. Click Options (F12). Then, click Select for Available Test Results. Use the Selection form to move items to the Selected Items list.
