Caselle will only generate tax returns when the tax status is active. Caselle will not generate tax returns when the tax status is closed, denied, exempt, inactive, non-filer, pending, or suspended.
When you change the tax status, Caselle will prompt you to update the license status. Usually, the license status is updated at the same time as the tax status but it's not required.

1. Open Connect Business Tax Collection > Businesses > Modify Existing Businesses.
2. Click to select the field titled Business, and then enter the business name or number. Press Enter.
3. Find the field titled Tax Status on the Business tab.
4. Select a new tax status.
5. Click Save (CTRL+S).
The tax status is updated.
