Do I need to format GL accounts on payroll checks?

No, you can enter an unformatted GL account when you enter a GL account for a payroll check. For example, Jane enters "1044110" instead of entering "10-44-110" when she fills in the GL Account box in the Enter Payroll Checks view. When she presses the Enter key, the GL Account box displays the formatted GL account number.

This feature is available in the 2022.08 release. In earlier versions, you had to enter the GL account as a formatted GL account, in other words, you had to enter the characters or symbols such as a dash (-) or decimal (.) with the digits. For example, "10-44-110" instead of "1044110".
