Does_the_mask_include_a_segment_for_displaying_a_job_type_code_T_

Does the mask include a segment for displaying a job type code (T)?

You would use a mask that includes a segment for displaying a job type code to identify and organize jobs by project category or purpose within the job number structure. Including a job type code makes it easier to distinguish between different types of work, improve reporting and filtering, and maintain consistent job numbering standards. This structure also helps staff quickly recognize the type of project associated with a job number.

When you set up a job type, the code is one or two digits assigned to each job type. The code determines the display order in entry routines. You can also include the job type code in the job number.

NotesNotes:
  1. Assigning a code to a job type is optional.
  2. The job mask must include T or TT to assign a code to a job type. Remember, T represents a single digit code while TT represents a two digit code. See the help topic titled How do I format a job mask?

Do this...

1. Open Connect Project Accounting > Organization > Organization.

2. Click to select the Job Types tab.

3. Click to select a job type.

4. Use the Code field, at the bottom of the form, to enter a one or two-digit code.

The number of digits allowed will depend on the number of Ts in the mask. Remember, T represents a single digit code while TT represents a two digit code.
