How do I select a "type" to assign to a job type?

You would select a type to assign to a job type to define how jobs in that category are processed and managed within the system. The selected type helps control behaviors such as costing, billing, asset tracking, or reporting requirements associated with the job. Assigning the correct type helps ensure projects are categorized properly and processed consistently according to organizational standards.

A type defines the accounting behavior for the job type that is assigned to a job. Use the following list of job types to select the one that fits best.
