How do I change personal property status to inactive?

When personal property is sold or junked, add an inactive date to the personal property record to show the item is no longer in service. The item will be saved but it will not be included in routines and reports for active items.


Adding an inactive date

1. Open Connect Property Tax Collection > Personal Properties > Modify Existing Personal Property Accounts.

2. Click to select Personal Properties tab.

3. Use the grid to select an item. 

4. Use the Inactive Date box to enter the date when the item was retired, junked, or sold.

5. Click Save (CTRL+S).

The inactive date is saved on the personal property item. The item status is inactive.
