How do I print a personal property affidavit?

Print an affidavit to notarize as a sworn statement. You can set up the affidavit form to print a personal property affidavit for a personal property owner. Here's an example of a personal property affidavit. 


Before you get started

  • Set up a personal property affidavit form (Organization > Forms). 


Printing personal property affidavit

1. Open Connect Property Tax Collection > Reports > Personal Property Affidavits.

2. Enter the Due Date.

Enter the date when the affidavit must be signed and returned by.

 

Do you want to use the year end as the due date?

  • I want to use the year end as the due date. Continue to the next step.

  • I want the report to prompt me to enter the due date each time the report prints. Leave the Due Date box blank. 

  • I want to use a different date as the due date. Click Advanced Options to change variable the system is using to set the due date. If you would like to select a different day, because the due date falls on a weekend for example, select the Calendar Date option. Then, you can click the Calendar button to choose a different date.  

 

3. Enter the Mailing Date.

The mailing date is the date the statement will be sent.

 

Do you want to use the current date as the mailing date?

  • Yes, I want to use the current date as the mailing date. The current date is the default mailing date. Continue to the next step.

  • No, I want to use a different date as the mailing date. Select a different MM/DD/YYYY from the Mailing Date drop-down list, or click Advanced Options.  

 

4.  Select the personal property types.

The personal property types are personal property types that you have defined in the Property Tax Collection application. You can choose which types to use to filter the report. 

 

Do you want to include all personal property types?

  • Yes, I want to print tax statements for all taxing entities. Select the Include All Personal Property Types checkbox.  

  • No, I only want to print tax statements for some taxing entities. Deselect the Include All Personal Property Types checkbox. Then, click the Select button, located next to the Include All Personal Property Types field.  

 

5. Select the form for printing the personal affidavit form. 

To edit the personal property affidavit form, click the Edit  button at the end of the Form box. You can use the edit tool to update the text, variables, and layout that appear on the form.  

 

Do you want to use the current form?

  • Yes, I want to use the current form. Continue to the next step.

  • No, I want to use a different form. Click on the Forms tab > Form Options tab, and then select a different form name from the Form drop-down list.  

 

6. Click Print  (CTRL+P)

The report uses the selection criteria to print the personal property affidavit forms.
