How do I add billing meter defaults?

Assign the default values for billing frequency and billing rate to the service.

Adding a default billing frequency to a service

Follow these steps to add the billing frequency to a service. You can also add any of the fields found in the Billing table to a service.

Do this...

1. Open Connect Utility Management > Organization > Services.

2. Look up a service and then press Enter.

3. Click to select the Billing/Meter Default tab.

4. Click Add a New Default.

The Add Billing Default form displays.

5. Use the Table menu to select Billing.

6. Use the Column Name menu to select Frequency Code.

7. Click OK.

8. Use the Default Value menu to assign a default value to the frequency code.

In the case of the Frequency Code, the Default Value menu displays all of the frequency codes that have been set up in the Frequency Codes table (Organization > Frequency Codes).

The default frequency code is added to the Billing table for the service. Now, you can define how often the service bills.
