Define group codes for tracking customers. A group is a category for tracking customers with similar characteristics, features, or functions. You can use a group to track and report transactions. A group code is a word or phrase that describes the character or features of similar individuals or organizations. Use a group code to sort customers for reports and billings.
Examples of group codes:
Direct pay
Equal pay
Home energy assistance
Residential energy assistance
Create a new record for a group code.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Utility Management > Organization > Group Codes.
2. Click New (CTRL+N).
3. Enter a Group Code.
This is the name assigned to the group code.
4. Click Save (CTRL+S).
The group code is saved.
You can edit the properties assigned to a group code.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Utility Management > Organization > Group Codes.
2. Use the Look up to enter a group code. Press Enter.
3. Now, change the group code name.
Warning! You can only change the group code name on a saved group code if there are no related transactions.
4. Click Save (CTRL+S).
The group code is updated.
You cannot delete a group code when related transactions exist.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Utility Management > Organization > Group Codes.
2. Use the Look up to enter a group code. Press Enter.
3. Click Delete (CTRL+D).
Warning! You can only delete a saved group if there are no related transactions.
The group code is deleted.
