Issue

I'm setting up a scheduled task to create a meter reading file (Utility Management). There's an error message that says, "The export format could not be found." How do I fix this? 

 

Explanation

In meter reading files, the export file format is a structured digital format for transferring meter data (like water, gas, or electricity usage) from one system to another.  For example, from handheld devices, smart meters, or meter reading software into Connect Utility Management. 

 

Solution

To fix this issue, 

  • add an export file format to the meter reading file (Utility Management > Meters > Create Meter Reading File) 

  • if the export file format is missing from the electronic reading formats (in Utility Management), contact customer support or submit a support ticket for assistance.
