How do I add a task code?

Add a new task code to the Task Codes table. A task categorizes activities that belong to the task. In this example, the Administration task groups together activities such as clerical, administrative assistant, and council support.

 

Task: 1 Administration

Activity: 101 Clerical
Activity: 102 Administrative Assistant
Activity: 103 Council Support

 

Adding a task code

1. Open Connect Timekeeping Organization Task Codes.

2. Click New (CTRL+N).

3. Enter a Title.

4. Enter a GL Account.

This is the GL account that records transactions for the task code.


5. Add Departments.

Use the options on the Departments tab to add the departments that can use the task code. If a department is not listed here, none of the employees in the department will be able to use the task code.  


6. Add Activities to the task.

Use the options on the Activity Codes tab to add activity codes to the task.


7. Click Save (CTRL+S).

The task code is saved.
