How do I add/remove a task?

Use the Activity Codes table to add a task to an activity. The task must be saved in the Task table before you can add it to an activity.  To add a task, see How do I add a task code?

 

Adding a task to an activity

1. Open Connect Timekeeping Organization Activity Codes.

2. Click to select the Tasks tab.

3. Click Add Tasks .

4. Select a task and click OK.

The task must be saved in the Task table before you can select from the Search window. To add a task to the Task table, see How do I add a task code?

The task displays in the gird on the Tasks tab.

 

Removing a task from an activity

1. Open Connect Timekeeping Organization Activity Codes.

2. Click to select the Tasks tab.

3. Click to select a task from the grid on the Tasks tab.

4. Click Remove the Selected Task.

Why can't I remove a task? If the task is tied to a transaction, for example, the task was used to record hours on a timesheet, then the task cannot be deleted from the activity. If you still want to delete the task, you will need to reassign the records that reference the task to a different task. The warning message will show the total records that reference the task.

Copying tasks from another activity

You can copy tasks that are assigned to one activity to a new activity. Look up the activity with the tasks that you want to copy, click Copy , and then use the Activity Code box to enter the new activity code. Click OK to finish. Connect copies the tasks to the new activity record.
