Split Mode in Enter Journal Amounts to use same reference number for entries with different sequences
When you are in General Ledger > Journals > Enter
Journal Amounts, click the Split Mode Icon on the top task bar (see below).
When this is selected, your entries will be entered as one
reference number with multiple sequences (1.0001, 1.0002, etc)
When that is not selected, they will each receive their own
reference number (1.0001, 2.0001, etc)
(Tip: If you click the small arrow next to that icon there
is a 'new split' option. This is what you will click when you want to change to
your next reference number)
