How do I delete a sold asset transaction?

You'll need to find out if the transaction has been updated to the General Ledger. Transactions that have been updated to the General Ledger are handled differently from transactions that have not been updated to the General Ledger.


Has the transaction been updated to the General Ledger?

  • Yes, the transaction has been updated to the General Ledger. Do not delete the transaction. You cannot delete a transaction that has been updated to the General Ledger.  

  • No, the transaction has NOT been updated to the General Ledger. Use the instructions in this section to delete the retired asset transaction.


Deleting a sold asset transaction using the transaction grid

1. Open Connect Asset Management > Assets > Sold Assets.

2. Find the transaction to delete and then click the Delete button at the beginning of the row.

 

The transaction is deleted from the transaction grid.

 

Deleting a retired asset transaction using the Delete Dispositions form

1. Open Connect Asset Management > Assets > Sold Assets.

2. Click Delete (CTRL+D).

The Delete Dispositions form displays.

 

3. Fill in the form.

4. Click OK.
