Backflow Management uses action codes to record activity when assembly is installed, replaced, removed, or tested.
The action code that is selected will show the entry form that's tied to it. For example, when Joe selects the action code for installing an assembly the entry form for installing an assembly will be displayed. The entry form will include the basic fields for installing an assembly and any extra fields that have been added.
You will need to set up at least one action code for installing, replacing, removing, and testing an assembly. You can set up more than one action code for each activity type.
1. Open Connect Backflow Management > Organization > Action Codes.
2. Click New (CTRL+N).
3. Enter the following information.
Description
Enter a description. Example: Install Assembly
Abbreviation 1
Enter an abbreviation for the action code (up to 7 characters). When space is limited on a report, Connect will use the abbreviation. Example: Install
Abbreviation 2
Enter a shorter abbreviation for the action code (up to 3 characters). When there isn't enough space to use seven characters, the report will use the three character abbreviation. Example: INS
Type
Select the action code type. There are four types: Install Assembly, Remove Assembly, Replace Assembly, and Test Assembly.
Show assembly activity tied to this action code in Inquiry
You can show or hide transactions in Customer Inquiry and Assembly Inquiry. Mark this checkbox to show transactions that are tied to this action code. To hide transactions, remove the checkmark from the checkbox.
4. Click Save (CTRL+S).
