An inactive business is a business that has closed and is no longer open for business. Connect records the date when the business closed as part of the property record. You can use the active date and inactive date to monitor occupancy of the property over time.
1. Open Connect Business Tax Collection > Businesses > Modify Existing Properties.
2. Click to select the field titled Property, and then enter the business name or number. Press Enter.
3. Click to select the Business tab.
Connect displays the business or businesses assigned to the property in the grid on the Business tab.
4. Click to select the inactive business.
5. Click to select the field titled Inactive Date.
6. Enter the date (MM/DD/YYYY) the business closed.
7. Click Save (CTRL+S).
Connect adds closed date to the property record.
