Use an other leave type to record a leave entry for information and reporting purposes. Connect Human Resources will not use the other leave type to calculate leave in the Connect Payroll application. But it does provide a way to track leave hours for an employee for both federal FMLA and state FMLA.
For example, the State of Washington has a paid family medical leave that is separate from the federal FMLA. The clerk needs a way to record leave time for the paid family medical leave. She can use the Other Leave tab in Modify Existing Employees to create a separate entry for paid family medical leave for an employee.
Other examples of other leave may include leave time entries for administrative, disability, FMLA, military, other leave, and workers compensation.
