How do I link an allocation to a job?

Flag an allocation with a job number. Payroll can link an allocation amount to a job. Caselle uses a job number to track and report transactions tied to the job in Project Accounting.  


Before you get started

  • Set up a job number in the Project Accounting application.

  • Turn on the interface in Payroll to make available the options and checkboxes for job numbers. See the help topic titled Why can't I link time entries to a job?


Linking an employee allocation to a job

1. Open Connect Payroll > Employees > Modify Existing Employees.

2. Use the field titled Employee to enter the employee name or number. Press Enter.

3. Click to select the Allocations tab.

4. Click to select an allocation for the Allocations list.

5. Find the Allocations subtab.

6. Click to select the field titled Job Number.

7. Enter the job number. 

The employee allocation is linked to the job number. The allocated amounts will be reported with the job number in Project Accounting.
