How do I redisplay checks?

Review the checks, exceptions, and exception checks for payroll checks, supplemental checks, termination checks, and manual checks.

The Redisplay pane will show you the

  • Employee number and name

  • Pay code

  • Entry type

  • Period

  • Hours, units, rate, and amount

  • Reference number and sequence number

  • Total hours

  • Total amount

 

How do I add or remove columns? You can use the Column Chooser to add and remove columns to the Redisplay view. Right-click on the column header row and the select Column Chooser from the menu.

Opening/Closing Redisplay view

The Redisplay button on the main toolbar works like a toggle button. Click it once to show the Redisplay view and then click it again to hide it. You will find the Redisplay button in Enter Payroll Checks, Enter Supplemental Checks, Enter Termination Checks, and Enter Manual Checks.

Click Redisplay (CTRL+R) to show the Redisplay view. When you're using Redisplay, the Redisplay button is active and you can see the border even when the mouse pointer is not hovering over it.

Hiding the Redisplay view

Click Redisplay (CTRL+R) again to hide the Redisplay view.

 

Sorting transactions by entry mode

You can change the entry mode to filter transactions for checks or exceptions.

Finding a check reference number

The Reference Number column shows the check reference number. You can use the reference number to look up a check so you can make updates to it.

Showing/Hiding printed checks

Show transactions for printed checks and unprinted checks. When the Include Printed Checks checkbox is not selected, only transactions for unprinted checks will be displayed.

Finding an employee's check

The payroll checks are listed by employee number. You can also use the column filter to enter an employee number instead of scrolling down the page.

Can I do this for any column in the Redisplay? Yes, you can use the column filter on any column in the Redisplay pane.

 

Do this...

1. Click the mini-filter button on the Employee Number column header.

2. Use the box on the Numeric Filters tab to enter an employee number.

The pay codes on the employee's payroll check display in the Redisplay pane.

Printing transactions

When you're in Redisplay, clicking Print will show the Enter Payroll - Redisplay report for the current pay period in the Preview pane. Click the Print button in the Preview pane toolbar to print the report.
