Leave Hours Exceeded

Message: The number of hours entered for [employee] exceeds the available leave for ##-## [pay code description] by ####. Okay to allow negative leave balance?

 

Explanation: The employee doesn't have enough leave hours to cover the requested leave hours. Depending on your organization's leave policy, you can choose Yes to ignore the deficit and process the requested leave hours anyway. The leave hours will be recorded as a negative amount.

 

Troubleshooting: If the employee should have the requested leave hours, check how the leave hours have been recorded in the employee record (Employee Inquiry > Leave tab). The leave hours may be for the wrong amount, wrong employee, or the wrong pay code.
