Warning: Weekend date

Issue

I launched the Close Pay Period routine and I get a warning message that says the future check issue date falls on a weekend. What does that mean?

Weekend Date warning message

Solution

This warning message displays when the check issue date for the future pay period is on Saturday or Sunday. It's there so you know the future pay period date occurs on a weekend and it gives you an opportunity to change the check issue date so it falls on a week day.

You do not need to change the future check issue date. For example, if your organization's policy is to set the check issue date for a specific date without regard to the weekends.

To change the future check issue date

1. Open Connect Payroll > Organization > Close Pay Period.

2. Find the Future Pay Period section.

3. Click on the Future Pay Period Check Issue Date.

4. Enter a new date.
