How do I change a System Management password?

Connect stores the System Management passwords in the Organization table. You may need user rights to access the Organization table.

There are three types of System Management passwords:

  • Control Password: Permits a user to access programs and routines in an application. You can also use the Control Password instead of the Authorization or Field Access Password.

  • Authorization Password: Permits a user to access routines within an application that modify transactions.

  • Field Access Password: Permits a user to access locked fields. A locked field will only display the field's contents. Changes cannot be made unless the field is unlocked.
