How do I set a low/high usage limit on a rate?

You can add a low usage limit, high usage limit, or both a low usage limit and a high usage limit to a rate. When usage falls below the low usage limit or usage is greater than the high usage limit, the service that is tied to the rate will be included in reports that show low/high usage. The low/high usage limit can help you identify usage that falls outside the expectation.

  • The low usage limit is the minimum amount that is set for a rate. This limit is set on a specific rate only when the rate will override the rate the system will use to calculate the service. If usage is less than the low usage limit, the system will display a warning on the data entry screens and reports.

  • The high usage limit is the maximum amount that is set for a rate. This limit is set on a specific rate only when the rate will override the rate the system will use to calculate the service. If usage is greater than the high usage limit, the system will display a warning on the data entry screens and reports.
