How do I set the default data directory?

The default data directory is the location for the databases (.mdb) for the Connect applications. It is the first place the system will search for saved files, documents, images, and so on, when the drive and path is not included in the file name.

Complete this step after the databases have been attached.

Changing the default data directory to a local drive

1. Open Connect System Management > System Tools.

2. Click to select Set Default Directory Database.

3. Use the Server menu to map the default directory to the CSLData directory on the local drive.

4. Click GO.

There will be a delay while the default data directory is set up.

Caselle Connect 5 is ready for use.

 

Mapping the default data directory to a network drive

1. Open Connect System Management > System Tools.

2. Click to select Set Default Directory Database.

3. Use the Server menu to map the default directory to the CSLData directory on the network server.

4. Click GO.

There will be a delay while the default data directory is set up.
