Linking a task with a job means the hours worked by an employee will be tracked as part of a job in Project Accounting.
Setting up a task linked to a job means a user can enter time worked in Connect Online and the web portal will share the information with Timekeeping and Project Accounting.
1. Open Connect Timekeeping Organization Task Codes.
2. Set up a new task code as you usually would set it up.
When the Project Accounting interface is set up, the Job Number field is available.
4. Enter a job number in the Job Number field.
The job information from Project Accounting displays in the fields on the screen. You can change the default job information and the system will save the changes you make to the job in Timekeeping to the job record in Project Accounting application.
5. Click Save (CTRL+S).
The task is linked to the job number. When a user selects the task, the system will track the time in Project Accounting.
