How do I set up an available owner? (Owners)

An available owner is an owner record that is assigned to plots that do not have an owner. Setting up an available owner will allow Connect to add the available owner to vacant plots so you can see who owns the plot when you look up a plot or print reports. When the plot is purchased, you will replace the available owner with the owner who has purchased the plot. If an owner is removed from a plot, Connect will assign the plot the available owner.


Do this...

1. Open Connect Cemetery Management > Owners > Setup New Owners.

2. Add a new owner that you will use as the available owner for plots that do not have an owner.

3. Click Save (CTRL+S).

4. When the Available Owners dialog box displays, click Yes.

 

The available owner is saved. You can verify the owner is set up as the available owner in Organization. To learn how, see Which owner is the available owner? (Organization)
