Error: Missing Social Security number
Issue
An employee does not have a Social Security number.
Explanation
This is error flags missing information. You can continue without an employee's Social Security number. However, you will need to the employee's Social Security number before you process W-2s or file reports that report the employee's Social Security number.
This error will not affect the calculations on the 941 report.
Solution
Use Modify Existing Employees to look up the employee record and enter a Social Security number.
