Use the Windows Task Scheduler to create a task that will import real property information at a given time and date.
1. Use the Windows Explorer to locate Caselle.Tc0.ImportRealProperties.exe.
2. Right-click and select Create a Shortcut.
Windows creates a shortcut to the Import Real Properties routine.
You're ready to create a task to schedule the Import Real Properties to import real properties on a specific day and time.
1. Click on the Windows task bar.
2. Type Task Scheduler.
3. Click Create Basic Task.
The Create a Basic Task wizard displays.
4. Enter Automate Connect Import Real Property Information.
Note: You can use a different task name. We're using Automate Connect Import Real Property Information in this example.You have the option of adding a description, such as, "This task will import real property information from Connect on the first Thursday of each month."
Click Next.
6. Set up the Trigger
In this example, we are creating a task that will import real property information on the first Thursday of each month. However, you should set up the trigger that best suits the organization's needs.
Depending on the trigger that you select, you will be prompted to finish the trigger setup. This is the page that displays if you're setting up a monthly trigger. The page that displays may be different if you're setting up a trigger for daily, weekly, one time, etc.
When you're done, click Next.
7. Select Start a Program.
Click Next.
8. Enter the path and file name to the Import Real Property Information routine in the Caselle directory.
Example: D:\Caselle\Caselle.Tc0.ImportRealProperties.exe - Shortcut
Click Next.
The Summary displays.
9. Click Finish.
You're done.
