How do I bill prior on new connects?

If the customer was connected during the prior period and you want to charge the customer for the prior billing period in the current billing period. .

For example, customer 567 is connected during the prior period and City XYZ wants to bill the customer for usage during the prior period in the current period. To do this, City XYZ sets up the options on the service to look at the prior period and then include the usage from the prior billing period and usage from the current period on the utility bill.


Setting up a service to bill prior on new connects

1. Open Connect Utility Management > Organization > Services.

You can find the Bill Prior on New Connects checkbox on the Service  tab.

2. Click to select the checkbox titled Advance Bill.

3. Click to select the checkbox titled Bill Prior on New Connects.

4. Click Save (CTRL+S).

Connect adds usage from the prior period to the current utility bill.
