How do I explicitly deny user access?

The Explicitly Deny option overrides the rights assigned to the group that allow access. Administrators can update the user profile to explicitly deny a user from accessing an application, widget, tab, or component.

 

Explicitly denying user access

1. Open Connect System Management > Security > Setup/Modify User Rights.

2. Use the Look Up bar to enter the User ID. Press Enter.

3. Find the section titled Rights.

4. Find the item in the Rights table that you want to explicitly allow.

5. Click to select the checkbox in the column titled Explicitly Deny.

6. Click Save (CTRL+S).

The user rights deny the user access to the selected item.
