How do I reset a user's MFA setting? (2023.11)

If a user loses or damages the device with the authenticator app and the user doesn't have a recovery code, you may need to reset the MFA setting on the user account. The MFA setting for the user will be removed and the user will be asked to set up MFA the next time they log in. 

The Multi-factor Authentication feature is included in the 2023.11 release. It's for application administrators and IT administrators who may need to reset the MFA configuration for a user. 

 

Resetting a user's MFA setting 

1. Open Connect System Management > Security > Setup/Modify User Rights.

2. Look up the user name or user ID. 

3. Click Reset MFA Configuration.

4. Click Save  (CTRL+S). 

5. Have the employee log in to Connect Online to set up Multi-factor Authentication on a new device.
