How do I enter initial test results?

Record the initial test results for an assembly.

You would enter initial test results after a newly installed backflow assembly has been tested for the first time. Recording the initial test confirms that the assembly was installed correctly, is functioning properly, and meets required compliance standards before being placed into service. Entering these results also establishes the assembly’s testing history and helps begin its ongoing inspection and annual testing schedule.

Entering initial test results

1. Open Connect Backflow Management > Assemblies > Enter Assembly Test Results.

2. Enter the Assembly ID.

3. Review the Action Date, Tax Year, and Description.

4. Use the Test Results menu to select the initial test results.

5. Click to select the Initial tab.

6. Fill in the fields on the Initial Tab.

Pressing the Enter key will stop the user on the Initial tab to enter the initial test results. If there's nothing to enter, you can press Enter to move through the fields on the Initial tab or you can click on the Repair tab to enter repair information, or the Final tab to enter the final test results. Click Options (F12) to select the Stop at Initial Tab checkbox.

7. Click Save (CTRL+S).

The initial test result is recorded.
